Golden Gate Bridge Ash Scattering

Scattering ashes of a loved one is something that should be done with respect, style and celebration of life.  We have done dozens of ash scatterings over the years and have an approach that works well for all involved.

 

Typically we will sail out for 2-4 hours and scatter ashes under the Golden Gate Bridge.  The Santa Cruz 50 - BayWolf is an excellent yacht for scattering ashes.  She is fast, stable and comfortable.  There is plenty of room to move around and people enjoy the ride and the sights of the bay.

 

We often will open a bottle of champagne after the ash scattering to celebrate the life and appreciate the gifts that we have.  Many people appreciate that the ashes are scattered from a fine racing yacht and feel that this type of ceremony is very appropriate.

 

We approach the ash scattering with respect and dignity.  Go out enjoy the day, scatter ashes, roses and celebrate a life lived well.  We have scattered ashes under the Golden Gate Bridge, by Alcatraz Island or by AT&T (PacBell) Park (for the baseball fans).
